The Romans called it “The Mountain of the Moon”.  Few places in the world can evoke a sense of magic and mystery as Sintra.  The perfect symbiosis between nature and its built heritage led to its classification by UNESCO as World Heritage at the category of Cultural Landscape in 1995.

From  magical forests to romantic palaces, Sintra never fails to amaze you! Hundreds of years of history and culture await you. Doing a short walk in the old city centre you’ll find yourself surrounded by the old houses now converted into small quaint handicraft shops and traditional pastry shops, that you’ll get the chance of Visiting & Tasting !

In the main square you can see the Town Palace once residence of the royal family. Don’t miss the view over the mountain from the top of the main staircase. It is possible to visit the Palace
